MEET OUR REGISTERED CLINICAL NUTRITIONIST

Our Registered Nutritionist, Mia, holds a Bachelor’s honour degree in Food with Nutrition and a Master’s in Clinical Nutrition from the University of Roehampton. During her studies, she gained accreditation status with the Association for Nutrition.

Mia believes in a person-centred, food-first approach, ensuring that clients receive comprehensive support to achieve their health and well-being goals by examining Nutrition in a holistic manner. This involves considering factors such as food and nutrition, lifestyle, sleep patterns, and mindset.

Mia’s interest in Clinical Nutrition came from a mixture of being a big foodie and her love for helping people want to live their best quality of life.

Her experience within the NHS, coupled with four years of university education, equips her to deliver exceptional care to her patients and clients. She prioritizes creating a safe and supportive environment during consultations, ensuring that each individual feels valued and well cared for throughout their journey. Her commitment to patient welfare is paramount, and she strives to make every consultation a positive and informative experience.

SCOPE OF PRACTICE

MA Nutrition is fully conscious of the specific scope of practice we offer to our clients. While we aim to provide comprehensive nutritional guidance, it is important to recognise that some health complications may require support that goes beyond what our nutritionist can provide and may need specialised medical attention. In such cases, individuals may be referred to their general practitioner (GP) for further evaluation and care.

If, during our consultations, we identify any concerns that necessitate a higher level of expertise, your health and well-being will always be our top priority. Consequently, you will be referred to a more specialized healthcare professional, such as a GP, to ensure you receive the best possible support.

WHY US?

Understanding health and nutrition involves navigating a complex landscape filled with conflicting information.

A registered Nutritionist is a professional with formal education in nutritional science, usually holding a Bachelor's or Master's degree. This training allows them to effectively interpret and apply scientific evidence to nutrition practices.

It is important to differentiate between registered Nutritionists and those without accredited credentials, as only those on the UK Voluntary Register of Nutritionists (UKVRN) have met specific standards. This distinction highlights the need for informed guidance in nutrition for safe and effective dietary choices.
